It's almost time for Vacation Bible School!
The theme this year is “MOVE ”. No, Seriously, MOVE it. From here to there. From bored to passionate. From selfish to giving. From unfocused to wide awake. This summer, we’re taking a look at the lives of some people in the Bible who changed direction and moved. Big time. And, they all had one thing in common: Somewhere along the way, they came face to face with Jesus. They discovered who He was. And once that happened, there was no standing still or going back. When kids engage with these stories, they’ll come face to face with Truth, too. They’ll discover that spending time with Jesus moves them to a whole new place – and can even change the lives of those around them! God moved toward us, first. Now it’s our turn … to MOVE!

Who’s ready to go to camp??
If you have a 3rd, 4th or 5th grader at home, we’d LOVE to have him/her at camp with us this summer! This year, we are going in a slightly different direction. While Camp Kid Jam with Orange© has been awesome for the past 3 years (Go Team Yellow!!) it’s time for something new … CentriKid! This year’s theme is FIT: Faith In Training. These camps are put on by Lifeway (yes, the bookstore) and are all over the country. They’re the kid version of the CentriFuge & M-Fuge camps that our church has done with middle & high schoolers – so that’s a cool connection! Also, they’ve got a great missions emphasis that we’ve been wanting more of over the last 3 years. Overall, this is going to be an awesome change and we’re super pumped! Details, you probably want details … we've got a great bulletted list ready to email you, so contact our Children's Minster for those. The most important thing is, we need to know if your 3rd-5th grader wants to come! (and if you could chaperone) Spots for FBC kids are available now, so to secure your child’s specific spot, a deposit of $50 is required! Check it all out, ask questions, visit their website’s parent page (http://centrikid.com/about-us/parents/), and let us know if you’re coming!!
KidsVillage is calling all current 1st and 2nd grade students to join us for a summer sleepover! Get ready because you’re in for some wild and crazy cowpoke fun as we learn how to “Ride Ready” for Jesus!

As we approach the start of a new year, and the turning of a page, many families with small children start thinking about setting goals for raising their children to know Jesus. As the old adage goes, "It takes a village!" and we are encouraged when families desire to partner with our church to accomplish this growth process. At FBC, we welcome this partnership gladly and have a simple procedure in place to get started! To 'kick off' this type of partnership, we plan a personalized "Baby Dedication" event. After planning, this event takes place during one of our church services with participation from the pastor, parents and congregation. The congregation get to meet the sweet little one, everyone gets to commit to help each other as the precious baby grows up, and we close with prayer over the child. It's a joyous occasion, especially when we are celebrating families deciding to dedicate their life to raising their child to know Jesus!
If you have a young child & are interested in knowing more about this process, please contact us! You can email or call our Children's Minister, Kristen Patrick.
