Larry has been with First Baptist since 2010 serving as the worship leader. Originally from New York he has lived in Mt. Pleasant since the age of 9. After committing his life to the Lord at age 21 he began serving in various visual arts ministries before surrendering to God’s call into the music ministry. He believes that God’s purpose for man is to bring glory to His name and to worship Him wholeheartedly. Music in worship is a tool that enables us to draw the body of Christ into the presence of God and helps us convey the message of salvation through His son, Jesus Christ. In addition to his position as worship leader, Larry earned an A.A in multimedia design from Trident Tech and works full time as an Instructional Systems Developer.
Larry has been married to his wife Nissa for 9 years and they have 2 wonderful sons, Jude and Shepard. Larry enjoys spending time with his family, fine art, gardening, carpentry and anything having to do with video editing and film-making.
